French Open 2017

Sunday 19 : “France versus Japan”

The French and Japanese players belayed the show during the last day of the French Junior and Cadet Open in Metz! Indeed, on the four possible semifinals in singles, they were four oppositions “France-Japan”!

Final result of the “France-Japan” encounter: 4-0 for the Japanese players which confirms the supremacy of the Japanese nation at this 2017 version of the French Open!

On the doubles level, the French have placed two teams in the final four. Unfortunately, the double cadet composed of Jules CAVAILLE and Dorian ZHENG fell in the semi-final against the Polish pair n°4 of the competition. Same situation for the French Isa COK and Lou FRETE who have been stopped by the HK pair n°1 of the competition.

During this Open, the French team has won a lot of medals as planned; they walked off with 16 medals throughout the competition! The final result is however contrasted since only 3 medals are gold medals (and 13 bronze medals).

Globally, this France Youth International Edition has still held all its promises with a meticulous and friendly organization for the players.
